Who you deal with

You write to our planning team in Arusha, and the people who answer know the routes, the parks and the seasons. Send an enquiry or message us on WhatsApp: We will reply We reply within 24 hours.. We reply in writing, so you can compare our plan with any other.

Itineraries you can read before you decide

Every tour page shows the day-by-day plan, what is included and what is not. If something is not clear, ask us before you book. We would rather answer ten questions now than have a surprise on day three.

On safari

  • Safaris run in 4x4 Land Cruisers with a roof hatch for viewing and photography. Details are on our safari vehicles page.
  • You travel with an English-speaking driver-guide, and your tour page lists park fees, meals and water as they apply to that trip.
  • Routes are planned so that each night's camp or lodge moves you towards the next day's wildlife, not back along the same road. See where you will stay.

On Kilimanjaro

  • Climbs are led by licensed mountain guides, with a cook and a porter team. Our tours list how porters are treated and what they carry.
  • Guides check how you are feeling every day, including oxygen levels with a pulse oximeter, and carry emergency oxygen. Read how we handle safety and acclimatisation.
  • We recommend longer itineraries because more days at altitude improve your chances. We will say so even when a shorter trip would cost less.

What we cannot promise

Weather, wildlife and flights are not ours to control. Nobody can guarantee a leopard sighting, a river crossing on a particular day or a summit. What we can promise is honest advice on timing, a plan that gives you the best chance, and clear communication if something changes.

Ten questions to ask any operator

Use this list with us and with everyone else you are considering.

  1. Is the company licensed to operate tours in Tanzania, and can you see the licence?
  2. Who will be my driver-guide or lead guide, and how will I be able to contact them before I arrive?
  3. What vehicle will I travel in, how many people share it, and does everyone get a window seat?
  4. Which parks, camps or lodges will I stay in, and do I backtrack on the road between them?
  5. What exactly is included and what is not (park fees, flights, meals, drinks, tips, transfers)?
  6. On Kilimanjaro: how many days, how many climbers per guide, and how are porters paid and equipped?
  7. What medical and emergency equipment is carried, and what is the plan if someone must descend?
  8. What happens if my flight is delayed, or my dates change?
  9. What is the cancellation and refund policy, in writing?
  10. Can I read recent reviews from travellers on independent sites?

You can read what travellers say on our reviews page. If you would like a written answer to any of the questions above, send us an enquiry.
